Need HELP FAST!!
I bought a Bridgestone Portenza 195/55R/16 for my '02 Goldwing. Honda dealer just called and said it won't fit...rubs on the swing arm and they can't get it to go on. WHAT'S UP? I need your opinions right away!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Need HELP FAST!!
Thats the first time I've heard that. I hope a wing rider shows up for you. All I can think of is letting the air out installing then reairing to see if it fits.

All's well that ends well...
Just received a call from the Honda service tech. They were able to mount the tire by breaking the bead and pushing it on. So I should be good to go. They just said that when the tire finally wears out, they'd have to break the bead on the tire to uninstall. I guess we'll see about that.
Thanks for the help & phone call. I really appreciate the info.

Re: Need HELP FAST!!
ymark98,
I've had 3 tires (car type) on my '01 GoldWing size 195-55/16 and every one went on without any problems. If you let all the air out of the tire and set the top two lugs at 11 and 1 o'clock, then the tire will slip right in the hole. Sometimes it is wise to put some detergent on the inner plastic fender well, but as far as any rubbing or sech, thats never happened to me. This is mounting the tire from the bottom up with the bike on a jack. I must say I never used a Potenza, but a 195-55/16 is the approx. same in all brands. Sorry for the late answer. Semper-fi Mike
