Daytona Bike Week

I'm heading to Charleston tomorrow then on to Daytona Thursday.

Anyone else going to Bike Week?

I was coming out of Georgia into Tennessee today on I-75 they should call it " Trailer Week " .

I got in last night.

The weather wasn't good. Cold and some rain.

I had a good time though.

This was my first long slab ride with the car tire. I've put 12000 miles on it traveling back roads and short slab hops. After a couple hundred miles it was absolutely great. At first there was a 30-45 mph crosswind, not much fun. I've come to the conclusion that I need to switch to a taller tire. I need to get the speedo closer to actual and drop a few rpms.

Any suggestions on a 195/60 or 65/16 tire?

I plan on heading out on Saturday, but I wonder if it would be ok to ride out to it since the trailers are taking up space down here in Orlando. My school has a "bike show" on Friday of the student's and instructors pride and joy. I'll have the oppertunity to Dyno my VTX1300S with my CT on it next Friday, and no, my Harley Instructor won't allow me to Dyno it on the HD Dyno, though he can't take his Busa on it either.

I have to agree with Joe, call it trailer week. Even way up here in central IL. I am seeing a boatload of trailer queens running south.
