daytona or bust????

Does anyone have any good advice on enjoying bike week...does or don'ts. Never been before, so I want to enjoy as much as possible and not waste so much time...thanks

I guess see you out there means your going? We are staying in new smerna beach south of daytona to stay out of the crowds and only have to put up with them when we want to.

Just watch the traffic..it will be a race weekend. I went on the nite race...you will be at the show of shows. So, people will be stupid. Bikes and cages don't mix.

Actually, see you out there means, I will see you out on the road on our travels. I don't see myself ever doing bike week or sturgis as I don't do large crwds well. I tend to get a little "uptight". My wife calls this my 'nuke em all' mentality. She don't much like me when I go there. Hope you have a great time out there and please take lots of pics and share them with us when you get back.

Well let's see here, beer , half naked women/men (who really shouldn't be) , then a few good looking ones as well , cagers and a ton of idiots trying to be something they're not, but that's most of that part of Florida to begin with. For me, I would just enjoy myself and do what I can to stay out of the way of the idiots. Make sure you take a camera with you to remember the sights and be safe out there.

I'll be there, but I won't be staying in Daytona, I'll be staying at the clubhouse. If you do go, I will be there with Leather and Lace MC and sometimes a group of us will spend a day or an evening in Daytona. It will be a very busy week for me.

Went last year myself. First time...i stayed at a camp site close to town. A ton of folks...99.9% are very friendly. Meet some folks from Michigan and rode with them for the 2 full days I was there. Rode down to meet some friends from another forum and had a blast.

Now if you stay in a camp ground...don't expect to sleep in unless you have a sleeping aid from the night before.

Drive safe, have fun, take pictures.

Lived 20 min north (Palm Coast) for 3 years. Enjoyed it every year. If you are going to ride around, dont drink, way to much traffic for that. My best advice is park the bike somewhere (a guarded lot) and walk. There is way to much to see when riding and trying to rubber neck it. Took me 45 minuets to get across the canal to beach street one year, about 3 blocks. Everyone is right, take lots of pictures and have fun. Wish I was going.

Hey Toasted, Stayed at a campground at a rally in alabama one time. Know what you mean bout trying to sleep at night...lots of noise. I can't stand harleys on the rev limiter anymore!

Acy, theres a guy on the other board from louisiana looking for someone to ride to Daytona with.
