I've been reading where the newer ones are coming with 180's on the rear. Has anyone tried it yet?

I haven't checked it out fully yet. I think I read that the 09's were coming with the 180/70/16. That's the same size that's on my X, and I put a 205/16 on it. But, then I read on here where the belt on the Harley might interfere with the sidewall clearance of the CT. I'm strongly considering an Ultra Classic, and was just wondering if anyone had done it yet. I do like the CT on the X. I'll keep a watch on this post just to see. Thanks all. Randy

The tire size is 180/65B16 according to this site.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a CT to match up with it. Maybe you will have better luck.

To my knowledge the only HD a CT fits right now is the wide tire on some of the Softail's with the 200/55 17.

Good luck in your search.

You are right about them coming with 180"s. I should think a 165 would offer no problem and a 185 would probably work but that is just my opinion. No facts or experience to back it up.

Take a look at this tire
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Blizzak+WS60&partnum=96R6BZWS60&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes
180/65-16 -- 4.6in -- 12.6in -- 25.2in -- 79.2in -- 800 -- 0.0%
195/60-16 -- 4.6in --12.6in -- 25.2in -- 79.2in -- 800 -- 0.0%
This size tire might just fit.

looks like a fit to me! dunno about that tire, but that means there are some out there in the same range... I'd have to take a look at that on in person first myself...

Going from 180 to 195. I would measure the clearance between the tire and the drive belt to see if there is enough room.

The section width is not the same. It is .59" wider. I don't know if a little over 1/2" will make a difference in your app.
