I can honestly say that the 1300C has been in the top 4 of my "next bike" list for the last 3 years. What has held me back is that it is not a skinny bike and the fat bikes I have owned were offered to me at deals too good to ignore, (though I should have it turns out).
If I hit the lottery, I'll have an XBones almost immediately. Of course, I'll have an OCC, an M109, a Triumph 2300, GoldWing, Hyabusa, Kawasaki 2000 & VTX1800. Add to that a Royal Enfield Army with sidecar.
Bill next time I'm out in Texas if ya wanna swap bikes for a bit I'm game.
And I do believe you're right about the perfect bike depends on the person and alot of other factors.
No way would I or could I honestly finance a bike for 84 months...and hell that was with 2500 down and 3.9% for that Xbone and the payment was still more than my truck.
Re: Cross Bones HD Dark Custom
84 months = 7 yrs. for those of us with poor math skills.

Nope...i did the online calculate payment thing....$2500 down...3.9% at 84 months...the 84 months was the only thing I didn't change...the payment was still well over $300 a month...no way in hell.

Oh I better not, though I greatly appreciate the offer! The problem is that I am liable to receive a head wound if the missus even sees me SIT on another bike, let alone ride one, LOL.
I find temptation is easier to deal with through ignorance! If I don't know what I am missing, then I can't pine over it effectively, LOL.
I'm telling terri of your offer.... hold on a sec....

better stick to one until this one is paid off, LOL.

Waco
I feel your pain.......for twenty years every time the subject of a bike came up.....well lets just say this is a family type site and the stuff I heard is not really suitable for print either. So me being me, I just rode it home one day. Now she loves it almost as much as I do. Almost ! Twenty years to get me on one now I can't get her off of it. Now the big "discussion" is Daddy wants a wing to add to the stable. The other side of this conversation once again is not suitable for print. But I know if I rode home on one and she got on it she would never get on the X again.
Welcome to the funhouse
See you out there

Smokey, I'll have to check the local stable to see if there's a wing there waiting to stretch its legs.smokey2255 wrote:Waco

Re: Cross Bones HD Dark Custom
Muntz, I was talking with a guy at a breakfast cafe in Denham Springs this AM and he told me he had just recently bought an '04 GW for 3 grand. I asked him 2 questions 1)how hot was it and if it was not hot 2)what was wrong with it. He told me that the guy that owned it didn't have any say about it. His wife told him it was either the bike or her and if it was her she would sell the bike. I think he said she used the money to pay the divorce lawyer. Talk about getting messed over that guy did. I remember seeing it last Saturday at the Farmers Market and it is a well kept bike. I think he said it had about 20,000 miles on it. Some folks just have all the luck don't they. It is the third bike in the dudes stable.

Muntz, shucks man I might just let you come up and ride one or the other sometime. Who knows I might just have some rich uncle die and leave me all his money and buy a brand new wing. Then I will have to do as Smokin'joe has done and modify the paint job on my Valk and add a whole big bunch of chrome to it. Whew, what a dream just like your stable of bikes and I might even buy some kind of Harley just to leak oil on my bike storage barn floor.

I do enough of that when I change the filters on the vehicles. No matter how careful I am I end up with some on the concrete.Tanglefoot wrote:Muntz, shucks man I might just let you come up and ride one or the other sometime.
