Anybody Dark Side a Cross Bones? Empty Anybody Dark Side a Cross Bones?

Just found this site and I'm lovin' it. I have been thinking about putting a car tire on my Cross Bones for some time now. I think they look great. I'm just not sure weather the car tire will bead up on my rim and if I have to put a radial tire on the front or not. If there's anybody that can give me some insight into this I would greatly appreciate it. I'm sick of paying three hundred dollars to have a new back tire mounted on my bike every 6 or 7000 miles. These Dunlops are some crap tires............Thanks in advance for any help.........

Thanks for the comeback. My current tire is a 200 R 55/17. The closest I can come on the charts is a 205 R 55/17. Section width is about 7/10" wider. Chart says it will fit a rim form 5" to 7 1/2". Don't know if I have enough room, that's why I was looking for somebody that had done one already.

I'm running a Falken ZE 512 on my Night Train which has the same sized tire.

Thanks. Did you have to change your front tire to a radial? I've heard some guys are putting regular rear tires on the front with the revolution arrow backwards. How does the tire feel? Hard to get used to? Looks really good. Would you do it again? Have much trouble finding an installer? Was it hard to install? Sorry for being so damn nosy, but I really like the looks of the car tires on the bike and I'm not getting any mileage out of these $300 Dunlaps..........Marv..............

I installed it myself and used Dyna Beads for balancing. The front tire is another issue because they usually last a long time anyway.

Harbor Freight has tire changer and motorcycle attachment. I picked up a couple of things to make the job easier. Mojolever and Mojoblocks. You can also get a Cycle Hill Changer. Lots of ways to do it.
