hi,

i am planning to go to the darkside real soon, and i read in a couple of threads on the other sites that there is a "thread" that has a list of "tires+sizes+bike model" used on the 1300's. i cant find that list. is there such a list?

thanks,

Hello footprints and welcome,

Make sure your prints will be wide on wet pavement in the near future ! Wink

Check this out: http://darkside.nwff.info/

You'll find a tire calculator. It will give you information about how much higher or lower
certain tires will be.
Depending on the size you choose you might need to grind a bit or to make other small adjustments
I hope others will drop in later, since i can't gice you recommendations due to the fact that I don't
ride my stock wheels anymore. I did the footsmod when I went darkside.

Good Luck and let us know.

Do you have a C an R or a S model. On the 1300 there are no modifications neededunless you go wider than a 205. Then like Mr 215 you will have to modify the drive shaft housing. 65 series is a little smaller than stock and 70 series is a little taller. The 70 series has a narrower bead width and mounts easier. Tire manufacturer and tire style are riders preference. There are some tires that are getting great reviews, and I would advise using one of them as a first darkside tire.
Good luck and enjoy

i have a 1300R.

i did narrow down my choices to three tires that people have used here. i just posted a thread asking about these three choices:
