did the hole saw mod on my pipes
After remounting my oem pipes, I did the hole saw mod like SteveO showed us, I looked all over for the guy in the blue coveralls to help, but he wasn't to be found. None the less, I still got the job done, and the sound is good.
I had tried to paint my mufflers on my aftermarket pipes due to wheating/ and rust forming, that experiment failed.
thanks steveo

Awesome work! Now that you have loud pipes, you are safer. LOL. (I forgot that this isn't HS.N).

Re: did the hole saw mod on my pipes
was loud before, had cobras on, they wheated due poor a/f setting, they started rusting (small spots) so I sanded the heck out of them, painted them flat black with VHT paint,. It was a failed endever., I had put on the cobras following a 2006 hi-side, and got slightly scratched, enough for ins. comp to replace them.
The stock pipes look real good, hole saw mod makes em sound better,, btw, where is that guy in the blue coverall.

Sadly, the man in the monkey suit can now be found in the Goldwing section.

I did the same thing to a friends bike about a month ago. In this application I cut the can apart. It is not excessively loud, nice and deep. Really good sounding I gotta say.
damn it, this thing will not let me post pics.
