need 1800 info
Buddy is looking at a 1800 c and would like to know the differences in Spec I, II, III etc. Also I remember seeing a thread on de-coding the VIN number on the VTX but didn't have any luck searching here or VTXOA. Any help would be great.

spec what?
Yes, the 2002 1800C can be either a SPEC 1, 2, or 3. Best I can find out is that the SPEC 1 has just the brushed upper fork tubes and the 2 and 3 have some kind of chromed tube covers. But that is just going by info from someone trying to sell windshields. I'm curious what the real differences are?

Re: need 1800 info
I don't know for sure on the C model, but on the Neo, spec 1 is the basic model. Spec 2 models have a black painted engine, and chrome fork covers. A Spec 3 had the same as Spec 2 and also a crome radiator Grill cover and I think crome triple tree and handlebar switches. But, I could be worng too!
