What size Proxes are you going with????? It does make a difference when you are telling us these things, because other guys will want your data...hehehehehe

New 1800 to the Darkside
Add a new 1800 rider to the Darkside.
I have a 2003 1800 C and just put a Michelin 205/65/16 on the rear.
No mods required - rode two up with my wife and no rubs.
Did have to let the air out of the tire to get it to squeeze between the swing arm and drive unit.
Other than that, no problems mounting. I do notice the difference in the ride and having to use a little more effort to make it lean and hold the turn. It wants to pop up right due to the wide flat bottom of the tire.
But nothing wrong with that..... smoother ride is noticeable.
I'll post updates as experienced. Over 100 miles since the change on Friday.

Re: newbie here
Up over 200 miles on the Darkside and it seems natural now. I hardly notice any effort to steer or have the bike right itself as I felt on the first day..... Is it me, my riding style or does our mind adjust us to the differences and erase what we new before about riding a motorcycle. weird..................
PS - I want to use Orange for my font to match the GTO but it does not show up well to read..... Can the admin darken up the orange a bit for this new Darksider
