Antifreeze puddle under 1300
I had been having a leak under my 1300 and every other day from about the reservoir area under my bike. I would never see it drip, but the small quarter size puddle would be there.
Well all my hoses are tight. So today Tanglefoot and I before we go on this long trip, we put it on a bike jack I added water to the reservoir and by laying down under the bike I could see it leaking from a hose connected to the bottom of the reservoir. So I wiggled the hose and it moves, except the leaks gets real bad now. So, I just push on the hose and the plastic nipple on the reservoir is cracked. Now what?????
Well we removed the reservoir and got the broke off nipple piece out of the 1/4" hose and welded it back to the reservoir with a soldering iron! I added some white tyraps to give the nipple strength by making it thicker melting it with the soldering iron to strengthen the nipple where the welding had been done.
Worked like a charm....filled it with water and pressured the reservoir up and no leaks. Re-installed it for our trip. Should be no more worries for the trip.
Just thought you guys would like to know how to fix yours or most any plastic product with a soldering iron instead of having to buy a whole new one.

Re: Antifreeze puddle under 1300
Good tip there pard. I use a plastic welder, but most folks don't have one of them and they're pretty much just a gloryfied solder gun anyway. Never thought to use a plain old solderin iron.
