I have just recently bought a used 205/65R16 to try on the rear of my VTX 1800c. I have it mounted on the wheel already but need to put some new rear disk pads on when I put the tire back on the bike. Might do that tonight or in the morning because we are supposed to have mid 70 temps tomorrow and mid-upper 70's on Sunday so I'm am definitely riding sometime this weekend. Will post more once I see how I like the CT.

Got the rear brakes fixed last night. The pin in the caliper was stuck so I ended up stripping out the 5mm allen head. Had to drill it out & then order a new one from Honda.
Went for a short ride yesterday evening and it felt good. I did notice what everyone talks about when you straighten up after leaning. Went up my buddies dirt drive straight as an arrow, no bouncing around like before. I still need to get it out on the road to see how I will like it because I'm going down to ride the "Three Twisted Sisters" in March and need to make up my mind before that.

Put over 600 miles on the bike during my trip to Leakey and back. I love the way the CT feels while cornering. Slow speed turning is lacking but, overall, I think I am going to stay with the CT on the rear. My wife even says it rides better, she doesn't know I have a CT on the bike. LOL

When that tire wears out try a Vredestein Comtrac 185/75-16 tire. Thats the one I run on my bike(Honda VT1100-T)

I think you can find it cheaper, but not by much. I have gotten great mileage out of it(over 20k miles)and its great in the rain.
Being a 185 instead of a 205 you can lean it over easier in the corners and it doesn't try to stand up as much when in a corner.
The 185/75-16 is around 4/10" taller(1/5" at the seat) than most 205/65-16.

At $195.00 each, I might as well by an MC tire. Was looking at a Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max, 205/60R16, for $103.00.

Thats funny, I use to get 8 to 11k miles out of a 180-70-16 E3 so getting 20k plus out of my C/T is money in the bank for me. I still wear out the outside of the car tire first but that is because in the 80+k miles on my 1100 the longest freeway ride is around 150 miles. Just love where I live, no more than 15 miles to some very fun roads.
