Coming to the dark side!

I have an 86 shadow vt1100 and I am tired of having to buy a new tire almost every year..the problem is I am not sure on which ct I need.....the mc tire is 150/90-15.....was told a 165/80 -15 will fit and was told a 170/90--15......so I found this site and read a lot of post and you guys seem to know your stuff when it comes to darkside tires....so any info would be great...thanks .....The Rev..

The 165 is an exellent choice for a first tire. Many people have gone with it and been very pleased. The original Volkswagon Beatle used that tire. I have noticed that car tires end with a 5 165, 205, 225, and motorcycle tires end with a zero 110, 140, 200 kind of wierd isn't it. I wonder how that came about. Different topic for a different time.
I am sure you will be happy with the 165/80/15.
