Alrighty, so I have an 1800s with "C" wheels I am going to be throwing on... Has anyone had any problems with the retro fender and clearance with a CT? I am going to be running a 205/60-16 G019 Bridgestone Potenza tire, costco said they can order me the tire and have it in 3 days and also mount it for only 14.00. I was also wondering if it is recommended to get the H or V rated tire, of course I will never hit he V rated speeds but is there a noticeable ride quality difference between the two?

Thanks in advance, I am stoked to make the switch over to the CT

I would grind off the ends of the inner brackets while the tire is off. WAY easier than pulling it off later...
Some tires rub, some don't, why chance it?
I have never run that tire, but have run H & V rated, and didn't feel any difference. Course they were different tires so who could tell?
Don't over-think it...just ride it!

The higher the speed rating, the softer the rubber compound - making it "stickier." H speed rating is enough for the VTX - gives you better mileage (lifespan) for the tire.
