easy to seat on vtx spoke wheel?
ready for a new tire ,had a 1800c wheel but sold it and the tire with it because I missed my spoke wheels now that I'm comfortable with a ct want one for my spokes so my question is has anyone found a reasonably priced tire that will seat easily on the spoke wheel ? dont really want to do the 100psi thing if a diffrent tire will seat better even if its a few dollars more.would like to go with a 205/65/15 maybe a 205/70 any advice is appreciated;

My Nomad has a mag rim, it took about 35 lbs to seat,.........however the 900 has spokes, it took several tries at 87 lbs before it popped on?
Both bikes have the General Altimax, 205/60-16 and 195/60-15.
Maybe it's the 15 inch rims that are tuff?
I'm sure, depending on the tire,.......some are tight and will need more air! (ask a guy that changes tire for a living, you will find some take a lot to seat)

Good luck

Go with a 70 series tire as the extra sidewall height does make seating the bead a bit easier.
I really liked the Michelin HydroEdge on my VTX.
