1800R tank on 1300R
Anybody ever try putting an 1800R tank on a 1300R? Is it possible w/o major modification?
If anybody has done this, please post before and after pics.
Thanks,
Muntz

Re: 1800R tank on 1300R
Still on the mend. Doc will xray it on Thurs and decide if to leave the cast on or not. He told me to stay off of it and do not put pressure on it. I think the cast will not come off, becasue I have to walk on it to work. I have to climb stairs at work since we have a multi level showroom. No sick time, so no work = no money.

they shopuld, provided they came from similar years... ie, you'll have to do a lot more mods to get a flangeless newer tank onto an older model because of fuel pump locations...

Re: 1800R tank on 1300R
I talked to Chicago Spike on OB and he told me the difficulties. The major thing tho was that I would only increase my volume by a half a gallon or so. I thought it would have been a bigger difference between the two. I guess looks are decieving.

Re: 1800R tank on 1300R
I asked the question over there to get a better understanding on the concept, I forgot that the 1800 doesn't have a reserve, it has a fuel gauge. Guess you'd have to find a place to custom make you a tank to increase your fuel capacity.

Muntz,
You don't need a bigger tank on Ebony......It would add weight to the front of your bike and wouldn't let you wheelie anymore........................
