IT IS Finaly DONE!
Just want to thank ALL who helped me with this!
I finished her up this eve. and took my first DARK SIDE Ride. I have an AVON AM26 that is rated as UNIVERSAL on the front and a new 205/70/15 Grabber UHP on the Rear. My first 15 mile ride was smoother than i thought it would be. Took it nice and easy, but up to 60mph for a bit of the trip. Seems to e that the bike is transferring less of the road imperfections to the seat. Bike wants to stand up a little faster out of the turns, and seems to roll easier. SMOOTHER is how i would describe it.
Like it so far! :bom:

Welcome to the darkside. Twin has the cookies, the problem is he always eats them before he mails the box. Glad you got it on. The ride only gets better with more miles.

I did eat all the cookies and congrats on your darkside. Remember air pressure can make a big difference in how it handles. Wear the mold release off then play with the air pressure!
Enjoy the darkside!!

Handling?
What Is the correlation of air pressure to ride? It feels pretty good at 40PSI How will dropping or raising change the feel?

You would really be suprised what 2 psi feels like. I can tell you what pressure my tires is just by riding out of the neighborhood. I know I should check my tire pressure before each ride but I dont.

Re: IT IS Finaly DONE!
My butt will tell me where the rear pressure is, but I have to keep checking the front.

RE IT IS FINALY DONE
It seems to me that lower pressure will cause better traction,a little less counter steer, lessens the effect of road surfaces (uneven surfaces) and your whole body will thank you. Also your tire will wear more even with wider foot print.I run between 32 and 34 .

Got mine mounted at Discount tires by the Katy Mills Mall. Bought the tire there though. Larry aka the Watcher on the X site mounts his own. Might give him a call if nothing else works. Almost all places that mount tires on mag wheels will mount them nowadays.
Still leaving, the job here ends on the 9th of Dec. Going to Northern Ga. to look for a place Thanksgiving week.

Tire pressure
GG
I think you will be much happier if you lower the pressure down to about 34psi. I started with 42 and I thought I had made an error in judgement about the car tire. After lowering my tire pressure it now feels just like athe motorcycle tire. It also rides smoother now, doesn't want to ride upright. A couple other bennies are, stops better than a motorcycle tire and sticks better when the road is wet.

Last WeekEnd
Weather was warm enough last Sunday that i took the better half for a ride. I actually pushed this tire a bit harder as i now have 150 miles on it. It performed flawlessly and the ride is better than the old MT
