2007 VTX1800 Neo Spec3

Hello All

Long time admirerer of the dark side look on the X. Can anyone tell me whats the widest ct I can install on the 07 Neo without modifcations? Is it hard to find a shop that will mount a ct on a bike????

I ride a 1300 so all I will do is advise you to look through the 1800 area.
More and more shops are mounting them all the time.

205/60 or 205/65 are the most popular sizes and the widest you can go without mods....

Why? Why? What IS it with everyone wanting the widest tire they can get? Does handling mean nothing whatsoever to you guys?
I just don't get it, but it seems obvious to me from the start that a narrower tire would have less crossover effect and act more
like an MT than a CT. I certainly didn't have much adjustment to the 175 on mine, but I'm also an aggressive rider. There IS a
difference even at that width. I can't imagine running a 215 or higher.
As far as looks go, even the narrow CT's are distinctly bigger, except for the ones with the low profiles. And I'd think that those
would be even worse on crossover.

I think it stems initially from lots of folks wanting a wider MC tire, but not realizing that the wider CT is easier to find sizes!
