Picked this up Friday. Trying to decide between original and a modified cafe racer. What do you guys think?

The age and mileage that are on it ... I say modify the he?? out of it. Even totally restored it wont be worth much so make it what you want. Daniel Meyer had one back in the day, I am sure he can gve you some insight as to the nature of them.

The name on the title wouldnt have been a Jamerson would it. I have kin in Broken Arrow and used to ride a bike just like that back in the day.
I say tweak the he77 out of it. Fun bike. You stole it.

That reminds of the first bike I bought. A 1979 Kawasaki KZ750 that was beat to death. I had a great and frustrating time putting it back together and getting it to run.
Try to keep it as close to original as possible, IMHO. Have fun with it.
