Still looking for someone who has successfully and safely mounted a ct on a 15 inch rim. Some information says that a VW tire works best or a foreign tire also may be the answer. I'm going to try out a sidecar very soon so I thinks that ct's would work very well if I can find the right one. I'm really depending on the knowledge base and the experience from this site. Help me out guys...

There are lots of guys running 15" tires. The V-Stars are running 195/60/15's.

What bike do you have?

Thanks MT

I have a 2002 Yamaha v-star custom 1100. I worry about the extreme pressure that seems to be necessary to seat the bead on all the posts that I read. Even on some posts saying "Don't Do It" Is there a tire that fits without extreme measures being taken ?

Thanks
Dennis

The 165/80/15 is the easiest tire to seat. I have heard of it taking as little as 30 lbs.

I have a friend in Houston that put that tire on his V-Star and it took a tad over 40 psi to seat.

good luck.
