I just bought a 1995 Honda Shadow ACE VT1100C2

It has a Dunlop K555 170/80/15

What tire(Darkside of course) recommendations do you have???

Would really like anyone with experience on a similar machine!!!

Thanks ahead of time!!! Very Happy

I recommend the 165/80/15. It's the VW tire.

Well...they used to be plentiful and cheap! Secondly, since I was the first to do the darkside on a 1300, I went looking for a tire that would fit a narrow rim and as you know...VW's have narrow rims....Oila! Natural choice. The 165 usually doesn't have ANY clearance issue what so ever and handles characteristics similar to the motorcycle tire and not a huge transition like the 205's are with the extra countersteering required. Not least of all the VW tire is lighter than the OEM motorcycle tire and thus gives great acceleration and road absorbing capabilities.

I think the 195 might do you as well, but I know the 165 works like a charm for sure!

Not to mention that the VW tire has been installed on bikes since the 50's.
