Hey guys,

Anyone know a good tutorial for replacing the oil and seals in the front fork?

Also, any way to seat the new seals without having to buy a 'Fork Seal Driver'? Or is that unavoidable?

Thanks,

We used a piece of PVC pipe cut square on the end and split in half. Worked like a champ!

Thanks for the info guys.

I have one other question about Fork Oil. My Clymer manual states to use 10wt fork oil. I was wondering what the difference would be to use High Performance 20wt instead? Or if that's a bad idea. I'm asking because my brother has a bunch of 20 & 30 wt sitting in his garage, and it's free. :-)

Also, any recomendations on where to buy the Fork oil and dust seal?

Aaaahhhhh! You got me there! I am not sure what it will do other than the obvious because of the heavier weight it slow compression and rebound, but how much! Don't have a clue!

My brother uses it in his Harley forks. Does slower compression and rebound mean a bumpier or stiffer ride?
