2001 vt1100 shadow spirit only

The guy from local shop that said he'd call me back after checking on a bike that someone is trying to sell and see if he would rent it did not call me back. i left voice mail. He said he also had a number that someone might rent bike, but again, waiting on his call.
I called another shop who gave me number of place that rented bikes, called Big Bike, number disconnected. Not good there.
Got some time now to make a few more calls but not too optomistic.

update: just called all bike #'s in book and only a harley to rent for half a day, 12:oo sunday is $150.00. yikes.
Steve, i called a friend in neighborhood with boulevard and he said no way.

O.k., a friend of mine, a missionary for Wycliffe Bible Translators, has a mid-80's Yamaha SECA 750. He has no problem with you using it. So, if you want to come to St. CLoud, I do have a bike available for you to use. Let me know.

Might take you up on that. I wrote about 15 bikes for sale on the jacksonville craigslist saying I wanted to test drive their bike and would give them $150 if I bought it or not. I'm actually interested in buying a couple of them. We'll see what kind of response I get.

O.K. guys. lets maintain that,at the furthest, we'll meet in Ormond Beach. I am going to make that part of the trip at least. Worst case, I may come all the way to Jax on Saturday, weather permitting, and spend the night. Do either of you have a spare bed?

I figure we can at least get together and fellowship some. I have another friend in that area that I would also see on Sunday. Lets just be fluid and see what comes our way.

It's getting late and no bike yet....I did email the guy with the Virago...we'll see. But right now, I'm not riding. I can certainly meet here for some fellowship. Sneakers across from my hotel would be good for me. It's at Beach Blvd and the Atlantic Ocean.

I'll pm you guys later on tonight with my cell and we can discuss further.

I sent an email to at least 15 and got 3 responses. All said no test drives. No replies from the others.

And

Looks like I'll be having to work this weekend. Things blew up and my last day is Monday...so they want me to come in this weekend and work.

Hopefully I'll be back. And if it's in season, I'll plan on riding down next time.

Sorry! I was looking forward to the ride!
