I have a GYTT 205 60 16 on my 02 X C Model 1800 and want to put same size tire on my 07 as soon as I wear out the stocker.. My question is what are the steps to getting the inner fender support out so i can modify it? Thanks,

mike n

I believe that most just do it while the tire is removed. From the inside.
I am sure someone will ring in with the how-to on this. I also want to say that the 205 will go in there with no mods.

Good luck with this and let us know how it goes.

From what I remember, most say you just trim down the bolt. I ride a 1300 so I can't be positive, but I know the answer is in here somewhere.

Sorry I had every intention to tell you to contact Twin 1300 or Horseman. Twin rides a 1300 but knows all the ins and outs on the vtx applications and Horseman,,,, is,,, well,,,, you know..... Just playin but I am sure one of those two can answer your questions. I am sure that others here can too but those are the first two that came to mind.

Good luck

You shouldn't have to mod anything but turn the bolts , but if you want to mod the fender horns when you have the tire off that way you don't have to do it later ,,,, go to : https://mcdarksiders.forumotion.com/vtx-1300-tech-f11/horseman-swingarm-mod-215-t1137.html
and scroll down to the fender horns the photos show you how to do it on the bike , on your back, with safety glasses on.
good luck
