well i think i'm ready to go to the darkside, is their a list of tires people are running (brands/sizes) i am thinking goodyear eagle but not definite, and which tire will be closest match to the speedometer?

I'll take the last question.
each bike is off by a different percent , mine was off by 20% or 10mph at 50mph on a gps.
Even now I am still off by 3mph and i have the tallest tire that i dare to put on without rubbing.
so first you need to find out how far off your speedometer is, then find out how tall the tire actually is on your your bike .
The tallest tire that will fit is 26.5", but some have gone to a 26.7" with just a little rub when riding 2up and the shocks set to max.

mine is off about 3mph @ 60. i'm thinkin 205-65-15 but just not sure what brand i want to go with.

mine with the 205/70/15 hydroedge is doing 65 GPS at 72 per the speedo and the odo is 4% off to the high checked with mile markers and it was 4 tenths off at 10 miles

using the tire calculator in the sticky it says a 195-70r15 is the closest to a factory tire the only difference was , the c/t is .1" bigger in circum. and +1 revolution per mile.
