The original size is a 190/60/17, I am running a 210/50/17 with no clearance issues but I could not go any larger than that.

Thank you this will help a lot. We are going on a trip this weekend and my current tire will probably be done at the end of it. I will let you know how things turn out once I am riding on the dark side.

What about Stratoliner? Empty 07 Roadliner

Post  WildPhill57 Tue Dec 21, 2010 2:18 pm

I have a 07 Roadliner and the stock tire ( Bridgestone 190/60 17) was done to the wear bars at 8440 and I replaced it with a General Exclaim 205/55ZR17 and so far have about 2k miles on the CT. I occasionaly take an onramp at a quick enough pace to just barely touch a board down and the bike feels planted. So far no wobble issues and it balanced on my stock rim with 3/4 Oz.of stick-ons. So far so good. Cool

If ya don't mind me askin, what does that General Exclaim 205/55R/17 tire measure across the tread from the outside edge to the other outside edge,in inches.I know the 205 is in MM measurements, but sometimes MM's doesn't always equal the same in inches. It varies by tire manufacturer.Thank you. Dave!!!
