1700 miles
I just returned from a 1700 mile trip from Austin, TX to Branson (and Springfield), MO via Fort Smith and Springdale, AR. and back. Riding through the Ozarks is a lot of fun and really beautiful. On this trip I had rain, wind, fog, heat and cool temps. Today I rode 700 miles alone. I'm POOPED!!!
I just missed a BIG storm in Springfield a couple of nights ago. I was staying in Branson but eating with some friends in Springfield (and keeping an eye on the storm - I love my iPhone). At about 9:30pm I decided that it was time to hit the road and was able to stay just ahead of the storm all the way back. On felt two drops. However, the day before I wasn't so lucky.
I was having a great time playing some Texas Holdem' with my buddies for a couple of hours. When I got ready to go it was pouring out. So on with the rain gear and off we go. The only part of my body to get wet was my hands. Gotta love it. :-)
All that to say that my CT rode excellent in all kinds of weather. And someone told me it would roll up on my.
Below are a couple of pics I shot on I-540 coming from Fort Smith to Springdale.

Yep.....the car tire can handle just about anything mother nature can throw at it. Thanks for the pics and commentary! Looked like a fantastic ride.
