I have been reading your books, most books you just read to pass the time and entertain the mind, sometimes you read a book or a passage that you just have to stop and reflect on. After reading A Dragon In The Desert I found myself stopped in such a place. Even with the happy ending and all, as dark as that story was, what could possibly have been so dark that the story can't be told but to posess you to put it to poetry with Monsters in The Night. Quite a moving tale itself. I sir want to thank you for being man enough to use your "skills" for the champion of justice as you have. Being one of "skills" myself I loathe the thought of using them but do realize there are times where we have to stand up and face evil. I can tell you too that the states attorney in coles county illinois wants to cut a deal, $ 250.00 fine and a years supervision. Sorry Mr. Attorney I will see you in court with ta jury trial. And only because he wants the stipultion that along with supervision that there be no further contact with the guy. Can't promise that so we go to court.
Daniel thanks for the great reading. These are some stories to savor.

Very glad you're enjoying.

The dark is out there. It never comes when or from the direction you expect it. For me, it's always been balanced out in the end by the other extreme. That makes me a lucky one.

I seriously screwed up tonight. Got home from work at 11 pmand started reading one of Daniels books as I cooked my supper (fried taters w/ onions tomatos green peppers and ham in it, plus a couple eggs over easy) Here it is 3:24 am and I am stuck, addicted,enjoying the ride. Man I need to go ride.

Heh heh...sorry about the lack of sleep.

Screwed around and read that book then started another. Well after 5 AM before I got to sleep. Enjoyed every minute of it too.

I got to ask ......have you heard from any one you met and wrote about on your alaska trip? Specifically the bus girl, the duffle killer, heart beat family, and the wizard? Also do you know if they caught the hit and run driver. Yeah I get way to into my reading, I normally would just read and go on but since I have a means to ask these questions I am gonna. I hope to ride with you on my trip to Texas in feb.
