Converted a coworker today
Well, after going back and forth on which tire to get, how much etc etc etc to the point I was gonna steal his bike and slap a tire on it to have him quit calling me 2-3 times every day I mounted a General Altimax 205/60/16 on a coworker's Valk Interstate today.
Rear wheel removal is a royal PITA but worth it once I got to test drive it for the better part of the after noon. Told him I needed to break the tire in for him .
I'll have to take some pics later, he won't be joining the site since he doesn't have a computer at home.
Omg...i've ridden a Valk short periods..usually under 20 minutes and never had time to get really settled into one. I did today...now to find one.
That flat six is a friggin freight train. My little butt was all behind the shield/fairing too...stereo was nice to have thumping some rock too.

Re: Converted a coworker today
I've had most all of them Harley, Goldwings , Sport bikes, V-Max etc....The Valkyrie IMO is the best motorcycle ever made and Honda dropped the ball big time when they stopped building them.I'm not the only one that feels that way I know several folks that own more than one . The highest miles I know of is on a 1997 Tourer it belongs to VRCC member DDT and has right at 400,000 miles on it now and he claims its still a sweet ride. Hope you took care of the drive-shaft and splines while you had the wheel off that is the # 1 weak link on the Valk and needs attention at least every 12,000 miles. Been a bunch of them fried while runnin' the high mileage car tires. If you have a jack and Valk stand its nothing to remove the rear wheel and you get better with time.
