Cruise Control Question.
I'm thinking about adding a cruise control to the bike. I think that most of the bigger n newer cruiser probably comes with it. Who likes it and who don't? And Why?

Re: Cruise Control Question.
Had an electronic one on my tourer, and a throttle lock on my X. They are good for getting rid of cramps. If I couls aford it I would put an electronic one on the X.

Re: Cruise Control Question.
I have a wrist saver that works for 300 mile trips, Pretty good around town too.
Got a throttle lock for longer rides. Eventually your right hand needs a break.
That's about it for options for our vt1100s. Real Cruise controls are expensive.

accutronix makes a unit that can be installed on a bike for a little over $100.

Re: Cruise Control Question.
I got a throttle lock for Christmas, and I think that it is just like high speed internet, or TIVO/DVR for TV. Before you get it, you don't know why people rave about it, but after you get it, you can't imagine going without.
I'm just like Steve-O. Use a crampbuster around town, and throttle lock for the long hauls.
I've found that I use it almost always on the freeway, just because even though I keep my right hand on the handlebar, it's just kind of nice not to have to keep that constant pressure.
