New to the Forum
I learned abut this site over on the GL1800Riders.com board. We have a darkside forum over there to keep us off the general discussion board . But even in our own snadbox the naysayers still hurass us. This being a darksiders only forum it should be a lot better. A little about me, 60 yr old rider, been riding since age 14. Now riding an 06 dark red goldwing 1800 with 38,000 miles. . I have a Kumho 195/55/16 with 24,000miles on it in not quite a year. Love this tire and when it finally wears out I will put anogher one on. I also run a Battlaz 45 130/70/18 bias ply, rear tier on the front with 14,000 miles on it (still looks new). Over on the other forum this is considered a double darkside . I do all my own tire work myself on a modified Harbor Fright tire changer. I also do all the other maintenance on the bike. I hope I can learn and contribute to the forum.

I am from the gl1800riders board too. Seems like everyone over here is on the same page and just wants to share and learn and not beat you up for running a CT. I'm looking forward to being a part of it.

Re: New to the Forum
Well, color me new here too!!
Got an '06 GW. Went double dark last year running on a Conti pro contact on back with a Battleax on front. Been dragging more hard parts with the CT than I ever was with the MT. Momma ain't so sure that's a good thing but she sure likes the smooth ride !!

I too, am new here. Not "officially" a darksider as yet, but will be soon. Most likely will also be the first Vision darksider shortly, too. My first darkside bike will be my '84 VT700C "rat" bike, and then the Vision, when I wear out the M/T this year (second one on my '08 ) ------Metalguy
