stupid

I can do stupid things from time to time.
Its raining, I'm doing 55, (stupid part one the speed limit was 40) the signal light 200-300 feet in front of me turns yellow, grab the clutch and hit the rear brake, (stupid part 2) hit it way to hard. Tire locks up and starts to slide out from under me to the right. Now I'm sliding sideways thru an intersection, the left floorboard is close to grabbing asphault and all the cagers are wondering if I'll go down......
Sometimes things just seem to move in slow motion..... I get off the brake, and give it a little gas. Wait I'm still in 5th gear. I don't go anywhere but the car tire in the rear stands the bike straight up and smoothly moves back behind me, like it was there all the time. Down to 2nd gear hit the gas and throw a 20 foot tall rooster tail up behind me........Priceless

Just stupid and lucky, I couldn't do it on purpose if I wanted to.....

Damn Glad to have you posting after one of those. Better at home than with a laptop in the hospital or even worse. Glad to know that all is well.

Ummmmm .......... Nevermind, too easy Apparently you can do it if you wanted to. You did it. Never underestimate your abilities. Generally in a crunch (pun) situation the basics you have been practicing for years will carry you through.
