Patches for DARKSIDE
Do we have any patches that are available through this web site to show we are darksiders? If not would it be ok if I do the foot work, design, and get the OK form the folks on this site and have them made up.
This is of course with premission from all powers that be.
It would be very similar to the picture of the wheel in space we already use.

Patches for DARKSIDE
Ok Folks,
I'll be seeing a artist friend of mine on Wed. the 10th. I'm thinkin' around a 3" round style. But it's gotta have detail.
Thanks for your input

Let a guy make one mistake........ I turned you on to the darkside, changed your front bearings, helped your friend do his stebel horn, my wife cooked and you guys didn't eat anything, repaired your bike on our darkside rally at 1:00 am in the morning, inspired you to put a batwing on, still gave you the CD, let you marry a Cajun girl, taught you to ride, BUT NO ALL YOU REMEMBER IS THE EMPTY BOX..........
Hey, it's my story, I will tell it like I want!.........

Re: Patches for DARKSIDE
Was in the planning phase and ran into road blocks. When I put a feeler out to see who'd be interested, only got 60-70 replys. Made the patches kind expensive. Didn't get any further. They'd probably sell, but maybe slowly.

Re: Patches for DARKSIDE
Guys,
I tinker with graphic design ... I'm obviously not the best, but I have fun with it. Here is something I created and you are more than welcome to use it if you so desire. I don't know how to go about getting it into a patch or anything, but I have the Photoshop file that I will send to whoever needs it. If you don't want to use it, no problem either. I just thought I would make the offer.

Re: Patches for DARKSIDE
I'll take 10 of them and then I'll get someone to make a 215 rocker to go under it.
go for it Onei , I would like that patch and i know i can sell about 5 of them.
what is the min order of patches that will bring the price down.
maybe i can check with the air force base here and I know that each group of pilots have there own patch.
let me know.

Re: Patches for DARKSIDE
It would be great if you could incorporate a motorcycle in it, that way it wouldn't look so much like you were a tire sales (person).

That's sorta funny... sorta true, which is what makes it sorta funny... but if it says "riding on the darkside" then those "in the know" will know, and who cares who doesn't? Yeah, I'm an elitist snob.

Patches for DARKSIDE
Since I'm new to The DARKSIDE, how is the #215 relevant? I'm not being obstinate, just ignorant.
The idea of having some sort of Motorcycle on the emblem may be important.
Please keep the ideas coming.

Re: Patches for DARKSIDE
215 is not very relevant, just a tire size that is uncommonly used.slikdj wrote:Since I'm new to The DARKSIDE, how is the #215 relevant? I'm not being obstinate, just ignorant.

Re: Patches for DARKSIDE
If a motorcycle would be difficult to incorporate, a simple handlebar or apes with or through the tire would help convey its meaning.

Horse,
I can add the "215" real easy and will be glad to do so once a final has been decided on. Of course, hopefully, I will not be the only one in the mix as I understand that there is at least one other that will be working on this who is no doubt much better than I am. So I am looking forward to seeing what else comes out of all of this.
However, do find out on the base if you can get a good price on doing something like this. See if you can find some price breaks on quantity ordered and let us know. I'm sure that if we were to order 200 or so that the price would be significantly lower than if we only ordered 50.
I've worked with print shops in the past, but do not know anything about patches and all that is involved in producing them, so if you have any sources, by all means, find out what you can for us. Thanks.

Re: Patches for DARKSIDE
That sure helps convey the idea. I want to add that I hope I in no way upset anyone from my comment about the patch and not understanding it's meaning. I have been a member of the vtxoa since Feb 04, and had seen that darkside in lots of sig lines and was totally clueless. I actually thought it was some kind of a club that chose to call themselves darksiders. I just never made the connection until I inquired about putting a car tire on my scoot a few month's ago. Tennx gave me the link to the darkside forum (then the light came on ). So it was a personal experience comment, and I truly apologize if it offended anybody. Larry W
