I asked about changing bushings and if they were a must before going to a CT but never got an answer. Are they necessary or just a convenience when changing tires out? Thanks.

When you switch to a ct it shows the weakness of some of the bikes other parts. The stock bushings that Honda uses are rubber and wear out rather rapidly. You don't have to switch them out until they wear out but it wont take long. I switched to a ct at 4,000 miles and replaced the bushings at 5,000. I met a guy with a C model that had 3,500 miles on his stock bike and his bushings were shot. Good luck with yours. If you change them they are very easy to do.
