The only thing I can think of is the best gift of all...

Thanks so much to all of you for the wonderful birthday wishes and prayers. Thanks for calling me this morning, Twin.

Life has already given me some positive changes over the past week. The fluid build up around my heart is gone, the dark spot in my right lung is gone, my pulse rate is back to normal and so is my blood pressure. And, last week we moved my father in law to a memory care facility. He has a studio apartment and 24 hour supervision now and we have our quiet house back. My Mom is sending me plane tickets to go visit her and while I am there we are going to go visit my cousins, Aunts and my older brother.

Life is good and I'm finally feeling well enough to ride when I want to and to start an exercise program to rebuild my strength and stamina. With my FIL moved out, I can now sit in my own living room and be on the computer whenever I want. I'm happier than I have been in a long time.

All of this is a result of the prayers that I know all of you were saying for me. I thank both God and all of you for your faithfulness.

Thanks again for all the Birthday wishes! I know I have not been online very much, but I do think of ya'll often. And I greatly appreciate my wonderful friends for all their support. I think all I have done this week is sleep and read. I've read 3 books since the FIL moved out. He made it impossible to do anything that required even a modicum of attention or concentration. We have had several calls from the Memory Care Unit he lives in. They are having the same problems that we dealt with and have even said that they don't know how we took care of him for so long. It was a great relief to know that we really were in over our heads and that even the around the clock professionals are having difficulties with him.

I will be gone the last 3 weeks in August. My Mother is sending me a plane ticket so I can visit her. She is still having grief problems from the loss of my Dad in 2007. They had been together for 60 years, married for 55 years. For the first time in her adult life she is alone and she is not coping very well at it. Part of the reason I am going up is to drive her to NJ so that she can visit my Aunts & cousins and to Boston to visit my older brother. This should be my last stressful event for the year. Mom dumps on me and my brother and I have nothing in common. The best part will be visiting my brother because I embarrass him simply by existing. He hates my tats,
