NEW EVENT ON THE MISSISSIPPI COAST - BIKE FEST!!!!

My apologies - I own a coffee shop and work both casino and the shop - 7 days a week... no real fun time lately.

Anyway - this keeps me out of touch with even the events in my own back yard!!

I get in the shop and one of our free periodicals we have SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI LIVING has the's brothers THE TOOTLES' on the cover (who own MS Gulf Coast Harley), it seems they've put together something for the coast similar to some of the real big events elsewhere. A week of REAL POKER RUNS that include casino participation, parties, bikini contests, concerts, etc. etc. It started on July 1 and goes through the 6th. I wish I had time to upload some pics, but I'm between the shop and getting supplies and trying like crazy to make it to the afternoon bikini contest before going to work at the casino.

Anyhow, (in case anyone's looking for something to do this fourth and within a half days ride of the gulf coast) you can look on the Hard Rock Casino Biloxi web page for the particulars.

This is the first year, not a huge turn out so far but they plan to try it for several years to see if it can grow. The first night we were at the Hard Rock Pool for the Media Conference and kick off party with a live band. (Freaking beer was $5 a pop!).

I think it would be cool if there could be an event for 'darksiders', either an event within an event or just a ride. It's too late to do anything this year but planning something in the future would be awesome - I'd put up the free coffee to start it in the morning and we could end it somewhere else. Mornings on Thursday and Friday.

About to jump on the bike to ride to Slidell. Still trying to pick the right tire for my bike, all the sizes and room to spare looks like I could go with a 245/60/16 - anyone go that big or bigger? PLEASE let me know.

A couple guys in the triumph rocket section have gone with 245/65/16's , Give them a pm to see how they like it and how much room they have to spare....
