Dallas to Kansas and back
Took a solo 1k trip to SE Kansas and back. Had to dodge the storms last Thursday. Got in a little rain around Ardmore, OK and the CT handled well. Got to Ark City, KS that night before heading on the next day. Kind of a chilly morning, but I dressed up adn the scenery was nice.
Took my grandaughter for a ride on my bike. Made her day. Took her to church on it Sunday!
Put the CT through it's paces. It rode well. Had it up to 90 and never felt a wobble - Guess David did a good job of balancing it! Dynabeads go in it this weekend as it should be dry enough inside now.
Here are some pics from the trip:
McCune Kansas: Here she is fully laden for the trip. That's an ultra tour bag which is great and doubles as a backrest. Next trip the laptop/backback stays behind!
Texoma OK: Crossing back into Texas. Came down 377 from ADA to 380 in Dallas. This was a very nice highway - well recommended.
Had fun and got home safe. And at 50 mpg, I"ll do it again!

Re: Dallas to Kansas and back
Darkside did wonderfully. Showed it off to some of the kansas boys. They didn't know what to think.
CT did well on the brick streets in the kansas towns. Not many twisties in Kansas, but ran the long stretches without a hitch. Found out I could duck down behind my windshield and make pretty good time. Tire did well at 90 mph. No balance, shimmy, or wobble issues at all. Had my butt sensor on max. No vibrations detected.

Stevo,
Yeah, I remember that storm on that week too. Was heading down towards Arkansas that week and man, it caused flooding. Glad you had a great trip.

Re: Dallas to Kansas and back
It caused crazy flooding in eastern OK. My original plan was to go through there. almost cancelled the ride, but the storms formed just east of I35. I hauled ass and made it to Kansas without too much difficulty. MPG dropped to about 33 when I was going 80 against a 40 mph straight wind from the north....and gas stations are not every 5 miles north of OKC.
