grease the splines
How often do you take the tire off to grease the splines? I know that since we're not changing tires ever 6-10k miles that it's necessary..... about that same interval?

yeah... something like that... might want to make it part of your spring or fall maintenance before or after you put it to bed for the winter, depending on the number of miles you drive..

Re: grease the splines
I'll be doing it every 10k or so...most likely at each 8k valve adjustment.
That and it'll give me a good way to clean everything up really well.

You absolutely slay me bro. I missed more riding time in April and May of 2007 due to T-storms and torrential rain than I missed in winter the last 2 winters combined.

Well, I used to be a Northern boy... I feel for him... but I figured out that the roads go south.

Re: grease the splines
and the roads go north... east, west and farther south....
you boys try and have your fun. I have "mountains" in town and the rally next door.... sometimes the weather sucks, but I don't miss many days. I have missed more riding days because of the bike being in pieces than from weather... of course prediction and anticipation of oncoming weather spurs modification...

Yeah, I hear ya...that's how I got my P4 chromed... sent it off when I knew I'd be in the middle of a crappy weather week which was followed by a week of vacation that I was going to be away from my bike anyway. Might as well use the downtime. Beats wrenching when it's sunny, dry and perfect.
