2001 Roadstar 1600 need tire info
I need to hear from someone who has installed or tried to install a 195/60 16 on a Roadstar 1600. Thanks in advance.

I've been running an Austone taxi tire, 175Rx78x16 on two RoadStars for several years and have yet to find anything wrong with them. They corner until I drag floorboards, stop real fast, last about 25,000 miles, wear evenly (when run at 32#), and put my speedometer exactly on correct reading (based on my gps). Here's a link to the main place most folks get theirs from:
https://www.universaltire.com/175r16-austone-taxi-black.html
By the way, I weigh 320#, often carry a 210# passenger, and have Tsukayu bags. Here's a link to my setup:

Thanks
RonK, Thank you for that information on the Austone taxi Tire 175R/78-16. That is what I am about to use on my 2013 Roadstar Trike. The reason is because my Roadstar is eating up my Michelin Commanders II . Maybe these Austones will help my Milage Usage. My trike is a Voyager Convertible and I still have a rear tire as my power tire.

Austin Taxi Tire for 2013 Yamaha Roadstar
My Austone Taxi Tire 175R-16 is mounted on my 2013 Yamaha Roadstar Trike. It fit okay with 1/4 inch clearance at the nearest places but still clears. We'll see what my milage is with these tires.

I get around 25,000 on them. Universal Tire doesn't have the Austone anymore, but they have a Maxxis in the same size.
