New Darksider Vulcan 900 Classic LT w/ tube.
Mounted my tire today. Opted for a 195/65/15 Potenza Re960AS. Got a great deal on it. Took over 100psi to bead up. Rode on it for the first time tonight. Definitely different and during first few hundred miles I will ride at 40psi. Curious to see how it rides at lower pressures.

Re: New Darksider Vulcan 900 Classic LT w/ tube.
I'm running a car tire on my Vulcan 900C with excellent results. I'm using a Vedestein that has Max load bearing at 50PSI, so I'm running a higher pressure than you will probably ever see. It corners extremely, as I've riding with some fairly fast riders on 'Tail of the Dragon' and was left by some and left some of the others.
Think you'll really enjoy not having to change these expensive 900 tires every 10K or so.

I am worried about the high pressure you are running!
A car tire works much better when the side wall can bend, they are not designed to be stiff like a bike tire!
Both our bikes run General Car tires.
The VN900 runs a 195/60-15 @ 33 LBS, cold.
The 1600 Nomad runs a 205/60-16 @ 30 LBS cold.
Good luck!

Worry if you want, the 40 PSI that I use in both the Concours and Vulcan 900C with the Vedestein tires are the best for both ride, cornering and wet weather.

Hi, I just joined the site. I am deeply considering going dark side on my Vulcan 900. I have spoked wheels and am wondering about the tube to use. Any advice would be appreciated.
