Add more balancing beads?
I have 30 miles on the darkside and I'm getting vibrations almost all the time. I pull in the clutch to make sure its not my engine and my handlebars are shaking and my teeth chatter. I have 3 oz of counteract beads in already. Im at 40 PSI. I put a rear MC tire on the front, do i need it balanced at all? Should i lower my PSI? Should i add another oz of beads?
We mounted the tire ourselves, and i have since researched that the red dot is supposed to go over your valve stem. Mine is almost on the complete opposite end. So i now wonder if i need more balancing beads, if that holds true that its the lowest part of the tire and causing me to be greatly un-balanced.

Bad Vibes
I'm running just 2 oz of Dyna Beads in my CT rear and all is well. 3 oz sounds excessive to me especially if it is still not doing the job of balancing the weight of the tire. I'd be looking for something else wrong.
You said you and ur bud mounted the tires yourselves..........I'd be checking to make sure that the tire is seated equally all around the wheel and on both sides as well of the tire/wheel not just look at one side.
You also said your bars are vibrating, Did you mount two new tires at the same time? Either way, check the seating of the tire on the wheel. Sometimes a portion of the tire lip does not quite seat into the wheel groove. Makes me wonder if you used enough pressure when seating the CT. Mine finally popped at about 115 psi.

Re: Add more balancing beads?
I'd put about two ounces of beads in that front to balance that tire and then re-index the balance mark on that back tire.
If you want to fix it right, it's not that hard to break the bead and reposition the tire.

More beads is not the fix. Go to the manufacturers web site and use the amount they recommend. If you are getting the shakes check the shock bushings.

Re: Add more balancing beads?
The tire first needs to be re-mounted correctly, with the dot at the valve stem. Then you can use the axle on two stands to actually balance the tire and stop all this nonsense. After all, taking 15 minutes, at the most, and a few dollars to have a balanced tire is well worth it.
Re: Add more balancing beads?
No such thing as too many beads, but 3 oz will actually balance out FOUR OUNCES of removed tire weights, so the beads are definitely NOT the problem.
Do above suggestions, also spin the wheel after repositioning the tire and watch the bead line on one place and see if it runs true or goes up and down,
indicating it's not fully seated.
Sanded and polished rims aren't a bad mounting idea, and you'll see a half dozen suggestions for lube in here. I like tire shine silicone, but dish soap,
or any non-petroleum slickum will assist. Petro is bad for rubber.
