2008 Road Glide tire size
Im already convinced of coming over to the dark side on my 2008 Road Glide. What size tire do I need for a 2008? I read a lot about 2009-2010 RG's and their sizes, but am sure mine is smaller being the older frame and stock MC tire is smaller than the newer bikes. My bike has been lowered 1.5 inches in the rear, so I need to stay as close to stock MC tire size as possible to prevent rubbing the fender or belt.

It would help if you said what the stock rear tire size is. Some might not know your bike very well but might know a C/T that is close to your stock tire size that might fit.

It's a Dunlop D402 MU85B16 on a 16x3.0 rim. Looks to convert to a 140/90-16 if I read it right.

I don't know of any tires that will fit a 3" X 16 rim.
I know some have put a 175 tire on a 3" rim but I don't know how well or not they worked out.

Sethjamto:
It looks like your Road glide uses the same wheel size as my Heritage Softail- a 3.00 x 16 rim. Some of the Yamahas and Honda goldwings also have this size. Several riders have used the Austone taxi tire, available at Universal Vintage tire in Hersey Pa and not many others have tried the Dunlop Taxi tire, both sized 175-75R-16 on these 3.00 x 16 rims. I just bought, but have not yet installed the Dunlop Taxi tire. I previously tried the Austone and I got a death wobble at 70 mph and had to take it off. Others have used the Austone with success and others have had front end wobble problems with it. You can also read alot about the Austones in 175 on both the Honda goldwing and Yamahaha pages. Whatever you install, the rest of us would certainly like it if you post your results-good and bad- as you install and after you road test it for a little while and again after a long while. Good luck.
