Riding West Virginia

[b]My wife and I have rode in 44 states so far and well over 250K and we've gotta say that West Virginia not only has the most diverse roads but the hospitality towards bikers is remarkable. The fine folks of Pocahontas County published a full-color tri-fold with more than a dozen different rides you can take out of Marlinton that match-up what you're looking for whether it be along mountains, valleys, streams or forest. We base out of the Marlinton Motor Inn. This is a fine motel where you can park in front of your room. There's a shaded picnic area, pool, restaurant, gift shop and bar. We make this trip for 3 days every Spring and Fall. You won't be dissapointed. Don't miss the Highland Highway.
