Still looking for info on outfitting a BMW 1200 CL with car tires front and rear as I'm getting a sidecar in August and want the better ride and handleing. Suggestions for replacing a 150/80-16 on the front and a 170/80-15 on the rear.

No one really runs a car tire on the front.
What I would recommend for you look at is a REAR MOTORCYCLE TIRE for your front wheel.
You should be able to find one that will fit easily, the advantage is the rear motorcycle tire has a deeper tread and will last longer.
Not sure how much clearance you have but the old VW size was a 165/80/15 which are hard to find these days, but you can find a 175/60/15 or a 185/60/15 pretty easily now.

I am planning on using a car tire for the rear already and am wondering if anyone has run a car tire on the front on a dedicated sidecar rig. My front is a 16" rim.
