DS'ers needing some back up...

Four of us DS'ers over on the Cycle World forum are holding our own against a horde of condescending, insulting and belligerent individuals. If anybody here would like to enter the fray and offer "Civilized" comment to what we do...come on over and help out.

On the American Voyager Assn. site I'm on lots of them went into freak mode when two of us went Darkside on our Voyager XII's, well today the 6th Voyager XII went Darkside and two more are going too. Once the force grabs someone it seems to spread fast. BTW they ALL love it so far.

Civilized comments won't change a pig headed naysayer's mind once it is closed to new ideas.

If somebody asks I just tell them it works for me and I'm happy with it. End of discussion; I don't get into arguments about the car tire. I'll answer intelligent questions but if the conversation starts turning negative I end it. The naysayers won't change their opinion, or mine.

I first rode a Honda in 1966, and have ridden all types and makes of bikes on all types of tires since then. What I have found out is that most of the world is not of high enough mental status to ride on 2 wheels. Even some who ride on 2 wheels are only able to barely accomplish this feat. Any attempt to explain even slightly complex ideas to them is like telling them the world is ROUND. They just will never believe it.
Another thought, a motorcycle is much like a woman, find one that you like and ride it. If someone else thinks your woman is ugly should not matter as you know things they do not.

just as a reminder, the invention of the pneumatic tires was boo hooed at one time. if we listened to naysayers, we'd all be riding on wooden spokes in a steel band
