Re: tire sealant/dyna beads
I have heard good things about both. I have only tried the dyna beads and had good results. I think you will be hard pressed to find someone that has run both to give you a comparison. But having heard both camps talking at different times the products do what they say with good results.

I run Dyna beads in everything I own including my wife's Subaru, my truck with big mud tires and my sport bike. I've had the VFR up to 160 with the beads and no balancing and it was smooth as glass

Re: tire sealant/dyna beads
Dyna beads were the first on the market. They are ceramic and very round and slippery. Kind of pricey though. Lot's of folks here have tried different things with success. Plastic pellets, BBs. I bought some knock off beads on ebay that I'm going to try. I think they are all okay. But dynabeads are a sure thing. Tried and true.

I have used some stainless beads off ebay and also used some airsoft balls, both of which worked just as good as the dyna beads. The physics of it is the same regardless of the media used.

In a tire that lasts a long time as CTs do on our bikes, I find it most cost effective to use the RideOn. Balances great but adds a huge safety factor by preventing flats from punctures in the tread. I'm currently riding a GY TT with a 1/4" hole patched only by RideOn and will continue to run it that way. Has been 6 months now. Will certainly post up if there is a status change.

TPMS and RideOn
While I understand the physics - with a sealant (RideOn) - does this impact the tire pressure monitoring system I have in my 2012 wing?

Check the RideOn website... They even say DO NOT USE RideON with 2009 - 2013 Goldwing TPMS Sensors.genedjr wrote:While I understand the physics - with a sealant (RideOn) - does this impact the tire pressure monitoring system I have in my 2012 wing?

Re: tire sealant/dyna beads
I've personally seen Ride On and other goo/tire sealants turn to sticky crap, over time, that actually throws a tire out of balance at certain speeds.
Not cool.

Dyna beads are fine, personally I like "Counteract", they're small glass beads and are much easier to put down your valve stem, have them in all my scooters.
