Considering Double Dark side - suggestions for a front tire? Nomad
I am seeking suggestions for a double dark side front tire- I had an ME880 rear for the front which i sent back to Dennis Kirk, thinking I was going to go traditional MC tire route... but I'm going to see this Darkside through...
This is for a 2007 Kawasaki Nomad 1600.
I'm thinking about an Avon Cobra rear in the front. Any suggestions? Should i go back to a ME880? I still have about 5 k miles left on my front tire... but i should change both at the same time?
Thanks.

Obviously this is a very happening site... No wonder i got cold feet at some point (as my mechanic explained only 1% do the darkside).
Anyway, FYI, I went with the new Michelin Commander II - rear tire 150/ 80 R16 to the front. I'll keep ya'll posted.

I've owned two different Nomads, a 1999 and and 2003. Although the slow speed handling is very good, along with Interstate speeds, really hitting the curvy roads hard shows the slow handling of the large, heavy, stock tire. Added a wider, heavier tire there will certainly slow down the handling a bit. Not that you still can't aggressively hit the corners, it just will require more rider effort.
Depends on how you ride.

I've found that the B/S Battlax BT45V Sport Touring tire last a long time and it holds the road very good, I think they have one in your size.
