First post to the board I'm hoping I'll be a member of the dark side soon!

I bought a 205/60/R16 Yokohoma AVID ENVigor since it looked to have the most round profile and a lot of satisfied customers of the darksiders. I planned on having the dynabeads and a new 85 degree valve stem installed along with the tire this weekend. I dropped it off at a independent bike shop about 5 minutes away from my home on saturday. He called me today to tell me he never installed the tire. It's too big he told me. He measured it from the center of the tire and told me it would never clear the drive shaft with no air in it much less aired up and it's not safe blah blah blah blah.

So my question is then, is it too big? I was under the assumption that 205/60/R16 would fit just fine without any modification? I plan on another shop doing for me anyways just wanted to hea that it indeed will fit.

I may be a little late to this party but... I am running that exact tire on my N. Its tight but it fits fine. Ask the gentleman to install it for you and assure him that it will fit. It does need to go up in place without air. After everything is bolted back together and aired up you will have 2-3 credit card thickness between the driveshaft side of the swingarm tube. Since the swingarm and the tire move together it will never get any closer.
