Bridgestone potenza G019 Grid 195/55/16
Hello everyone,
I went out and purchased the aforementioned tire prior to to viewing this site. I seen some vids on the tube and decided I
wanted to try this. I feel I should have dug a bit more before buying but oh well.
Sooo, tell me something good, what do you think about the tire? Unless you scare me off, it goes on Monday.
I don't think it's a run flat- going on my 09 Wing.
Also, is this the best size for the speedo?
what is the best tire for the front? Thinking of a Briddgestone G709.
Lou

It's a good tire. I haven't heard anything really bad about it.
I've tried several different tires and prefer a runflat.
Lots of people running the 709 are really happy with it. I like the BattleAx because of the mileage. I got 31,000 on my last one.
Run the tire, play with the pressure until it feels right for you and enjoy.

What do you think I should start out with for pressure?
What about the speedometer effect?
Is there anyone running CT on the fronts?
We are taking the
Ferry out of Milwuakee next Thursday going to the
Dragon's Tail for the end of season ride.
Can't wait to feel life on the Darkside!

That is a good tire
For non-runflats I think most are running them in the 34-40psi range on a Wing.
I am real happy with the 709 that came stock on my 2012. I've got about 6000 on it
and it is just starting to look broke in, running 40psi in it. It sticks really well.
My speedometer is dead on with my GPS running a 195/55/16 Michelin Alpin PA3 below about 70mph,
faster than that it is about 1-2 mph off.

I put the tire on Monday and have my first 100 miles on it. It feels like you are on rails at first and there is feedback from the road for sure.
I am starting to get used to it after only two days but have not felt fully confident to really pull some G force.
Real smooth on the street bumps for sure. The test ride goes on..

I don't think it will fit the 1500, from what I was able to find outwhen I wen DS the best fit was 175/75 -16.
