Question on Dyna Beads Empty Question on Dyna Beads

Post  bigd_74 Sun Mar 02, 2008 8:42 pm

Hey darksiders -

I just got Gary's dynabeads in on Friday & I'm itchin' to finish the rear wheel up (pull the weights & apply aluminum polish) & get the beads installed. My question is if I let the air out of the tire will it come off the wheel? Am I going to need to re-seat the bead?

I have a compressor at my buddies shop that has enough ooomph to do the job, but I'm nervous of 110 psi & being in that close of proximity of the tire. If it doesn't require another bead-poppin' experience than I'm all good.

Let me know - thanks guys! Cool

Dave~

No you will not need to re-seat the bead. I would however, jack up the bike or get the weight off the rear wheel. That is what I did. I jacked it up, removed the valve stem core, installed the dyna-beads, and then re-installed the core and inflated the tire, lowered the rear wheel and checked the tire pressure again. All done! Go ride and enjoy!!

Bigd,

What Darkside Shadow says. Trust me, you will need a machine to break that bead on the 205. Just let the air out and put the beads in.
